A good pair of sunglasses is not only a fashion accessory but also a skin-saving thing. Besides protecting the eyes from the harmful UVA rays, a pair of dark sunglasses can also prevent wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes, the so called Crow’s feet. A pair of dark sunglasses that provides UVA protection will prevent squinting your eyes which is one of the biggest factors that usually lead to many wrinkles and fine lines around the eye area. So choose dark, wraparound sunglasses and wear them every day and make sure they provide 100 percent protection from the sun’s harmful rays.

Rule Number 2. Take A Proper Care Of Your Skin
Taking a proper care of your skin is essential for a healthy-looking and wrinkle-free skin. It’s essential to use skincare products that are appropriate for your skin type – use a mild cleanser and an alcohol-free facial toner at least twice a day, no matter what your age or skin type is. Removing your makeup in the evening is also a must, especially if you wear foundation, mascara or eyeshadows.

Rule Number 3. Use Products That Offer Sun Protection
We have said it hundreds of times and we will say it again – the sun is your biggest enemy. The harmful UVA and UVB rays not only lead to skin discolorations – red spots, brown spots, freckles but they also destroy the collagen in the skin, which usually leads to sagging of the skin and premature aging. So, no matter your age make sure your moisturizer, hydrating cream or anti-wrinkle cream offers sun protection (SPF at least 15 for the colder months and higher for the summer months.)

A good night’s sleep is nature’s best beauty treatment. When you rest and are less stressed your skin enters its growth and repair cycle – this is the time when your skin cells are most able to absorb skincare ingredients and to produce more new, healthier cells. Getting enough sleep every night will also prevent the appearance of dark circles around the eyes.

Rule Number 5. Stop The Facial Expressions
Aging isn’t the only cause of wrinkles. Facial expressions are also responsible for the formation of wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes, mouth, cheeks and forehead. Every time you smile, laugh or frown your skin contracts and over the years these contractions show up as lines or deeper wrinkles. I am sure you have heard about frown lines or Crow’s feet for example. So make less gestures and stop expressions with your face to prevent wrinkling.

Rule Number 6. Eat A Balanced Diet And Drink Plenty Of Water
What you eat affects not only your health but also your appearance. Eating a balanced diet is essential for wrinkle-free skin and together with drinking plenty of water can do wonders for your skin. Eat variety of foods – fresh vegetables and fruits so that you obtain important minerals and vitamins, chicken, fish and avoid sugar, salt, caffeine or fatty foods. Remember: water is one of the most essential fundamentals to guarantee healthy skin. That’s why drinking at least 8 to 10 glasses of mineral water a day is essential to keep your body and skin hydrated, soft and healthy-looking.
