I am 50, have acne (cystic) prone skin, dark patches from sun damage and very sensitive skin. Over the years I have spent a small fortune on dermatologists and finding the "right" products. Here are a few that I can tolerate: PCA Skin is a great skin line, very gentle and reasonably priced. The Facial Wash is wonderful and the pigment bar helps treat dark spots/patches as well as controls acne. They also have a pigment gel. Their products leave your face feeling very clean and are not harsh on the skin. I haven't tried their Vitamin C products, but have read great reviews. I use Prescribed Solutions Radical Results with a Brightening Booster. It is not a sticky as C E Ferulic from SkinCeuticals. The only sunscreen/moisturizer I can use (and I have tried MANY) is Aveeno Ultra calming SPF 30-awesome-very light feeling, not greasy, have NEVER broken out from it! For over the counter, CERAVE cleanser and lotions are wonderful. If you are suffering from itchy skin, breakouts or welts, stay away from makeup with "shimmer" or "luminescence" as the MICA content is high and most likely will be the culprit. Also, the chemicals added to makeup for SPF protection can cause adverse reactions. Basically, if you put anything on your skin and it tingles or itches, QUIT USING IT.

I had terrible acne prone skin about 5yrs ago. I started doing the following steps and my skin has significantly improved: stopped using liquid make-up & used mineral make-up, pat drying my face with a towel reserved only for my face, stopped using the harsh common acne chemicals like salicylic acid & started using the Boscia line products.

I am a licenced aesthatician and know that if you are experience a spreading type of acne you must see a derm, a good one that will diagose what you need, i will tell you what i would recommend: wash face with sensative cetaphil or cerave wash then apply a sulfur based prescription meds from derm and then Cetaphil or Cerave cream... you need to hydrate and treat the acne which is an infection so the doctor is needed, i highly recommend Rosula wash and the foam.
good luck

I use neutrogena cleanser 2 times a day everyday and a sensitive skin Moisture. It helps my skin to clear up. Even though the cleanser is a little strong. Its good. Your skin will get use to it when u keep on using it.
