1. Without using any other products (except moistoriser) , how can i make my the foundation last longer on my skin?

2. Can you give me some tips for better coverage?

3. and, is there even a difference between Mineral Foundation and Mineral Powder??? lol because my mineral foundation is a powder

Uhm okay, so I have mineral foundation. It's Loreal Bare Minerals. It's a tad lighter than my skin tone (I'm Indian, with a medium-dark skin tone), but that's fine. the problem is that it won't cover up a few pimples i have. uh so can you tell me how to cover pimples with loose mineral foundation?. kaaay thanks.

Hi – I think I can help you…

RE Viickii's comment about "stripey coverage". It might be because you are not letting your moisturizer absorb entirely before buffing on your mineral powders. Or - you are using a really cheap (I mean the quality not the price) product. Try Afterglow Cosmetics their products are super creamy, long lasting and do not streak. They also include organic ingredients which help smooth and condition your skin.

RE Lila's comment about the darker parts of your face. . .you should applying the mineral foundation first in a concentrated manner using Afterglow's Concealer Brush. Then buff over your entire face with the foundation using a Kabuki brush. Once you've done this, go back over any missed areas that might need more coverage with the concealer brush again.

I just can't say enough about Afterglow's entire line of cosmetics. The coverage is amazing. The writer of this article got it totally wrong about the "synthetic" brushes. Afterglow offers really beautiful VEGAN (no animal hair) brushes that are the most amazing brushes I have ever used. Even better that they don't shed like normal cosmetic brushes do. I hated using my old animal hair brushes because they would leave little black hairs all over my face... YUCK! I'm so glad that I found Afterglow's vegan brushes. They make the whole experience even lovelier!

I definitely recommend checking them out. They have very sweet customer service girls that can help you find a perfect match. They also offer a money back guarantee. www.afterglowcosmetics.com I will never go back to any other brand of makeup. I only wish that they sold cleanser and face creams!

i have very sensitive skin and quite an uneven skin tone. so i use the mineral powder foundation. But, the area around my lips and chin is particularly darker than the rest of my face. I have tried moisturising as advised before applying the foundation, but the foundation still does not seem to conceal the darker parts of my face. and as already mentioned above, after an hour or two it becomes really blotchy and flaky and the powder seems to stain anything i touch.

hi Viickii,

it isn't usual for a mineral foundation to look like this. Maybe you don't apply enough moisturizer to the skin prior to applying the foundation. You should make sure that your skin is well moisturized and also make sure that you are using a product of good quality.

regards,
