Finding The Right Shade Of Lipstick lipstick make up
Finding the right shade of lipstick not only enhances your features, but can also reflect your mood and personality. A swipe of well-chosen lipstick can be all it takes to transform how you look and how you feel about yourself.
As we know, not all shades of lipstick suit everyone, some colors look different on different skin tones, that’s why the first thing you should do when choosing a lipstick is to determine your skin tone. Determine if you are cool-toned or warm-toned. Those considered to be cool-toned usually have brown or ash blond hair and blue or dark eyes, their skin have red undertones, tending to the pink. The warm-toned people have blond hair, green or hazel eyes and their skin has yellow undertone.
For those with warm skin tone warmer shades will look best – caramel, cappuccino, browns with hints of gold and bronze. Pinky, red, beiges will look best on cool-toned skins.
Use two different lipstick – one for the day and one for the evening. During the day wear a light shade and for the evening apply one with saturated shade – reds, bronzes, browns and corals. when wearing a strong lipstick colors, keep cheeks and eyes neutral, choose pale pinks, beige, browns and plums. This will complement the lips without drawing attention away from them for a truly fabulous look.
Always use a lip liner to define the lips. Choose a lip liner that matches your lips and lipstick color perfectly or use a lip liner a shade darker from the lipstick. Apply it lightly to the lips and fill in with lipstick.

• darker shades are perfect for enhancing naturally pale complexions and offsetting bright green or blue eyes to stunning effect. These lipstick colors look great worn with warm gold, bronze and brown eyeshadows for evening glamour.
-  the natural shades enhance the golden complexion and give an elegant but subtle finish.
-  coordinate your lipstick with your nails and blush
-  for dark skin you can wear luscious red lipstick for a fair skin go for a rich plum or subtle pinks
-  to make the finish last longer, blot colored lips with a tissue, dab on a little face powder and then apply a second layer of color
-  to keep your lips soft apply a lip balm every day
- apply foundation on face powder over your lips to create a base for your lipstick

Hi. So i have discoloration around my mouth area. I cover it up well, but i feel that if i wear lipstick, it makes my dark area look darker. What color, or type of lip color would u recommend for this?

  • Silvia Yaneva said:

Hi Sally, you can hide this discoloration with a concealer. As for the lipstick shades – avoid using lipstick or lip gloss in bright shades, these include red, pink, brown. Choose a lipstick in a peachy or rosy shade. They will match your natural skin tone and won’t accentuate your lips.
